Acupuncture can also be used to strengthen immunity, blood circulation and better well-being. ​

 

Acupuncture is based on the self-healing tendencies of the body, and it uses the body´s own resources to restore balance.

The acupuncture system I am trained in is Stems & Branches acupuncture, also called Classical or Wu Yun Liu Qi acupuncture. 

-the art of inserting fine needles at specific points along acupuncture meridians, used in the treatment of a variety of physical and emotional ailments

In Oriental medicine theory, pain is a sign of the Qi, energy, not moving properly. The simple act of using acupuncture needles can unblock the movement of Qi, on different levels of the body.

The other ingredient of classical acupuncture is listening; we use a Chinese medicine pulse analysis for selecting the acupuncture points. 

​

The effect of acupuncture is individual, and the fastness of the results depends e.g. on the general condition of the person as well as the duration of the problem. Acupuncture works in a series of treatments and the best result comes with regular sessions. Acupuncture treatments are scheduled every 1-2 weeks in the beginning.
